Biography

Jacob "Tug" Wamego is one of the most experienced Native executives operating at the intersection of tribal sovereignty, federal law, and government contracting in the United States.
A citizen of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, Jacob built his career from within tribal enterprise - not from the periphery of it. Over more than 13 years serving as President, Chief Executive Officer, and General Counsel of Prairie Band LLC, he led one of Indian Country's most consequential tribally owned federal contracting enterprises through a period of sustained growth, legal complexity, and operational expansion.
During his tenure, Jacob oversaw multi-million-dollar operational environments spanning multiple business units, federal contracting vehicles, SBA 8(a) certified enterprises, and healthcare services contracts. He did not manage these operations from an advisory distance - he held full executive and legal authority across the enterprise, making him uniquely qualified to guide organizations through the very challenges he navigated firsthand.
Jacob holds a Juris Doctor (JD) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) - a combination that allows him to function simultaneously as a strategic executive and a legal advisor. In practice, this means clients receive counsel that is both operationally grounded and legally precise.
Debwe Services was founded on a simple conviction: that the most valuable guidance comes from people who have led - not just observed. Every engagement Jacob accepts reflects that principle.

Operating Philosophy
Truth is the foundation of effective counsel.
The word Debwe means truth in the Potawatomi language. It is not a marketing choice - it is a declaration of how this firm operates.
Jacob Wamego has spent his career navigating environments where the stakes were high, the complexity was real, and the margin for error was narrow. That experience shaped a direct, honest, and disciplined approach to counsel that he carries into every client engagement.
Debwe Services does not tell clients what they want to hear. It tells them what they need to know, with the expertise to back it up and the operational experience to help them act on it.
"Debwe Services was not built from theory. It was built from direct operational leadership at the highest levels of tribal enterprise and federal contracting. That experience is what we bring to every client we serve."

How We Work
Engagements built on substance, not surface.
Debwe Services operates as a strategic advisory partner - not a vendor. Every engagement begins with a direct, honest assessment of the client's situation, followed by counsel grounded in operational experience and legal precision.
We do not produce generic reports. We deliver strategic guidance that reflects the real operational, legal, and political complexity of federal and tribal environments - and we stand behind every recommendation we make.
Initial Consultation
Every engagement begins with a direct, confidential conversation about your organization's situation, goals, and challenges. There is no obligation and no boilerplate - only an honest assessment of how Debwe Services can be of value.
Scope & Engagement Structure
Following the initial consultation, Debwe Services will propose an engagement structure tailored to your specific needs - whether that is a defined advisory project, an ongoing retainer relationship, or a targeted strategic assessment.
Strategic Advisory & Delivery
Engagements are conducted with full professional discretion. Jacob Wamego is directly involved in every client engagement - clients receive principal-level attention and counsel, not delegated work.
Ongoing Partnership
The most effective advisory relationships are long-term ones. Debwe Services prioritizes clients who are building toward something significant and seeking a trusted partner for the journey.
